TA9 is the leading independent software vendor providing a big data platform for local and central government agencies that enables analysts to draw operational conclusions and intelligence insights from all sorts of sources.

We are looking for a senior QA engineer to accompany our product team to develop and execute testing on TA9 IntSight – Big Data investigation hub for the intelligence domain.

Objectives of this role

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications
• Working with Product, Project Management, and Software Engineers to provide clear user stories and requirements for test cases
• Clarifying and discussing the requirements throughout the development life cycle
• Implementing the testing strategies for new features, system stability, load, and regression
• Developing the API testing suite
• Along with your team lead, provide an assessment of delivery readiness and collaborate with other teams to ensure a timely release
• Executing manual tests on new features and on fixed bugs
• Performing thorough regression testing
• Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs
• Notifying the stakeholders of the outcome of these tests execution and escalating any issues through the appropriate channels
• Capable to meet schedules, Able to estimate timelines and task breakdown
• Mentoring others and promoting effective quality assurance strategies
• Ensuring ongoing product quality to the highest standard

Required skills and qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in the QA field is required, preferably web apps testing
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Hands-on experience with Python and Selenium
• Experience with API testing, specifically using Postman
• Strong understanding of the SDLC
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Capability to be well-articulate in technical English writing
• Sharp eye, with good attention to detail
• Creative thinker with a “Can do” & problem-solving approach
• Effective Communication skills in high-paced environments. Be assertive, with high energy, self-motivated with strong team spirit

Nice to have

• BSc in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related degree OR a Practical engineer diploma
• Experience with Robot Framework
• Experience with performance testing
• Experience with load testing
• Experience with security testing
